Selected Resources on Transition

The mission of Transition to Independence Process (TIP) system is to assist young people with emotional/behavioral difficulties (EBD) in making a successful transition into adulthood, with all young persons achieving, within their potential, their goals in the transition domains of employment, education, living situation, and community life.

We are often asked for the resources that guide our work in the area of transition. Although the following compilation of transition related resources is not exhaustive, our sites that are implementing the TIP system have found the following resources to be useful. The compiled resources include many different areas related to transition such as information on: general transition issues, planning and assessment, intervention, evaluation and research, education, employment, and living situations.

If you have used material resources that you have found particularly useful in working with youth and young adults with EBD, please let us know and advise us of the advantages and disadvantages related to these materials with which you have had experience.

Selected Resources on Transition were compiled and organized by: Robin Wagner, Nicole DeschĂȘnes, & Dr. Hewitt B. "Rusty" Clark of the University of South Florida.
